Program honors those who go above the call
of duty in waste and recycling industry

The EIA Community Changemakers is the Environmental Industries Association's national community service recognition program. Through it, the Environmental Industries Association recognizes and honors those companies and individuals involved in America’s waste and recycling industry who are making notable impacts in the industry and their communities, serving as leaders and role models and driving innovation in waste management, recycling and environmental protection.

“Every day, the waste and recycling industry provides important services to communities across the country,” said EIA president and CEO Sharon H. Kneiss. “In so many instances, people in the industry have gone above and beyond the call of duty, whether by rendering aid in emergencies, acting as eyes and ears in neighborhoods or volunteering time and talents to make their communities better places.
